Living in a small room with six of his family members without any electricity, Abhishek was always determined to achieve what he wanted to do. Being a shoeshine boy in the day and studying only five to six hours in the light of a lantern at night did not deter him from his self-belief and his goal to get through IIT. There were also times when Abhishek worked as a labourer, earning a measly amount of Rs 100, during the day to make ends meet for his family. Helped by Mahesh Singh Chauhan, who taught basic Physics, Chemistry and Maths to Abhishek free of cost, the boy emerged as a strong example for all those you wish to follow their dreams.
Cracking an exam where students put years and years of hard work, patience and tutoring, was definitely what Abhishek’s parents feel proud about. For Abhishek, the journey was endless where he decided that he would stop at nothing and achieve what his mind was set at. His life has been an endless struggle and it’s only his zeal to carry on that saw him reach thus far.
An inspiration to people along all age groups, Abhishek Kumar Bharti is a personification of the adage “success has no shortcuts”, as he paves his way through difficulties and stops at nothing.
